What should I do now?

I have three children who are almost 3, 4 and 9. I have just gone through a custody battle with my ex so I could move out of state. He tried to get custody of them to stop me but the court found out he has not been paying support and skips visits often. They asked me (in a very demanding way) if I would consider settling if my ex paid his arrearages allowing me to stay in California. My attorney told me she would drop me if I pursued a trial (in other words). So I settled because I could not afford another retainer. I will have a lot of money for about 9 months but the court order states that I cant go back for two years unless something changes or my ex is late in support. I honesty dont know how I will make it on my income and the small amount of support he is ordered to pay. What would happen if I just cant make it? I want to move to Tennessee with my parents and so I can afford to provide for my kids. How can I go about doing this earlier than 2 years from now?
Answers:
So the court told you that you cant take the kids with you to Tennessee? If he defaults then what happens?
If you have no means of support in your state and can't leave for a place where you could get help I have to ask what you鈥檙e living on now? Have you consulted another attorney?
If he's already forgot about supporting his children he wouldn't have a problem doing it again in my opinion. You seem to be trapped. Have you met anyone else who you can turn to?
Have you children understood what he's done to them?
If you'll have a lot of money for 9 months is it for him to catch up? Will he still need to pay? You have to move on with your life where you are for now it seems so I suggest you make the best of it and try and find new love. You should at least get a friend you can confide in. It helps to talk it out with someone who knows you.
Everything you have said relates to your dependence on other people. You need to find a way to make your own way, whether it's school or using a talent that you already have. It's hard when you're a single parent, but there are a lot of resources available if you seek them out. I was a 28 year old high school drop out and single parent myself, but thanks to a lot of good programs and good people I got my 4 year degree and am now a homeowner and have a successful career. Be strong and believe in yourself.

What should I do if tenant does not want to sign a contract?

I just rented an apartment at my new house. I told the couple that I required a 1 year contract. I heard nothing from them until the day they were going to move in. That same day, I mentioned the contract but both of them were not present so I said i'd go back when they were both there. My husband and I went August 2, and they REFUSE to sign! I told them that if they dont sign it, they have to leave at the end of the month. What should I do??
Answers:
You told them up front that a written contract was required for them to rent from you. Since they refused to agree to this, you are well within your rights to evict them, particularly if you require this of all of your tenants. You may have some difficulty getting them out (although, since you own the property and gave them a month's notice, you can throw their stuff to the curb and change the locks), so you may want to contact your lawyer in case things get ugly.
Next time--don't give tenants the keys until they sign.
the contract should have been signed before they moved in.you can't change the rules after the fact and i don't think it's legal to evict them for that reason.it sound's like they know the law better than you i would get legal help. good luck.
If you let them move in without a lease, then they became month-to-month tenants. Give one full calendar month notice that you are terminating the agreement. If they do not move out voluntarily, then begin eviction proceedings. That could take a couple months. Take this as a lesson and learn from it.
The longer you let them occupy the property the more likely you are to have to evict. Get them out now! You are only substantiating their "right" to be there by allowing them to stay. Post a note stating that they are illegally trespassing and must vacate the property within 48 hours. If you are really nervous - have them served through the sheriff's department or through your attorney's office.
You should not have let them move in with out signing the contract. If they refuse to sign you can give them written notice that you are terminating their tenancy. You are required to give 20 - 30 days notice depending on what state the rental is located.
Since you gave them the keys and let them move in the trespassing approach will not work By allowing them in you allowed them to establish tenancy.
I would talk to the city or county Prosecutor's Office to make sure I followed the correct procedure.
Don't know where you are located but best you know that the eviction process is different in different parts of the country.
Sounds like this is your first tenant. You should have made yourself familiar with this procedure before you became a landlord. Collecting the rent check each month can be fun but you are being introduced to the bad side of renters early on.
You may end up having to have the evicting noticed served by a Process Server. All of this is going to cost you much time and some money.
In the future have them fill out an application and supply you with references. Check them out first. Never let a renter move in until you have the signed lease in your hand with the first and last months rent money. And if you require a security deposit make sure you have that in full also.
There are some renters that you just have to have a mean dog attitude with. Sounds like you've got some.
You were scammed. They will never pay you a dime. Contact a local attorney on Monday morning and start the eviction procedures in your state. Never give a key again until they sign a contract, pay a damage deposit, and until you learn the laws of your state regarding renting.

What should I do If I found our national flag in hoised state at night ?

Answers:
you do not specify which national flag yours is??
i am going to assume your indian though because of your name and the way you set the question- please excuse if im wrong on that!
the indian flag code states:
''where the Flag is displayed in open, it should, as far as possible, be flown from sunrise to sunset, irrespective of weather conditions;''
this decoded basically means that it should not be flown at night whether there is a light or not,
if you find a flag that belongs to somebody ese that is being flown at night you could kindly request them not to
also it is my understanding the flag code is taken very seriously in india and you can be arrested for breaking it
so if the people dont conform to the flag code you could report it to the police

in US flag code the US flag is permitted to fly at night provided there is a light but quite a number of Americans forget that doing this on a regular basis will make their flag become tatty quicker- it is only meant to be done on special occasions and on those flags the US Government has permitted to fly all hours
in England here we do not have a flag code but the majority of flags i see are taken down at night
I would hoise the person down who hoised it.
I would agree.
"Hoise them"..
Nothing. If its lit, its legit.
Aye!! Hoise them..
Fall on your sword to avoid any other dishonor.
It is okay to fly the flag at night as long as a light shines on it. If there is not light, you can complain, but in this day and age, the owner would probably flip you off and slam the door in your face. There is not pride in the USA anymore.
Depends on the situation. If it's an individual home owner, that person/s may be elderly, or disabled, and have trouble taking it in. Proudly displaying our flag is better than not to me, as is someone saying they're a 'nam vet, and they're not. At least word will pass around of us, when we're gone.
as long as it's not in the dark - no problem.
do they have lights on it ?
The flag may be flown at night if lighted.
It may not be flown in the rain (not just a matter of the color fastness but of respect), at night unlighted, when tattered or by anybody who is unamerican enough to support the bush gang.
when a flag is hoisted at night it is okay if there are lights shining upon it or the flagpole it is hoisted upon. whether there is pride in our great nation or not really shouldn't depend on whether or not the flag is flown during dark or light maybe the person is trying to symbolize the durability of our nation and its dependability if there were no electricity would we stop HOISTING our flags? I think not.
is allowed to be up if it has light on it and if the weather is not bad, learned it in basic training.
but now a days people don't care. they don't realize what it stands for any more. u wont get in trouble, now if ur talking on a military base well they r defiantly in trouble.

What should I do if a traffic lawyer did not defend me properly?

I received in 3 tickets in March: speeding, failure to display registration and he claimed the tag on my license plate was not in clear view. As a result, I hired a lawyer and was told she would handle all three charges. I paid the fee and in May, I received a letter saying my license was suspended. I contacted the firm %26 they said it was an error on their part. They'll clear it up with the judge. I faxed them my registration which was valid. I contacted the firm 3xs to make sure they received it %26 they had. Last week, I received a letter with the court fees totalling $600. I'm a college student struggling to pay bills so I just started crying but when I saw the breakdown of the charges, I was charged a $200 fine for not having my registration. A charge that would have been about $5 if I went to the court %26 presented it. I contacted the firm %26 was told I never faxed my registration. I couldn't believe it. She said she'll get the fine dropped. If she does doesn't what do I do?
Answers:
When you faxed a copy of your registration you should have received a confirmation that the fax was sent and received. It sounds like your lawyer dropped the ball and you are having to pay for their errors. Find all the documentation you have and hire a new lawyer and sue your previous one. The lawyer should have to pay your legal bills and help to clear your record of any charges associated with their negligence.
did you keep your proof of fax?
Start getting things in writing from them so you have written proof that they receive whatever you're sending them.
I would contact the bar association and complain. I'm suprised though that they just were 'handling it' usually you have to appear in court regardless. Do you have confirmation of your fax? I would also be concerned that she may not do her job seeing as she hasn't so far.
A lawyer knows well what to do in what situation, trust on your lawyer or change your lawyer.
http://www.bayrozgar.com
in California you have to know to ask for a FORM TR-220 REQUEST FOR A NEW TRIAL you only have 20 days after the court finds you guilty to file this form with the traffic court they have the form behind the desk of the receptionist (last time I asked for one the lady tried to give me a hard time and say she only knew it as a REQUEST FOR A NEW TRIAL form. Either way HURRY walk in in person and fill out the form to request a new judge %26 sign it. This is your RIGHT they cannot deny it within 20 days of your original verdict %26 drop it in the box they accept the court fines also ask about a WRITTEN DECLARATION
GOOD LUCK
Also if your lawer does not specialze in defending traffic violations every major city has a specialist that builds their practice defending motorists find and consult with them.
You can always try asking for a warning next time you get pulled over sometimes it actually works!
id say a lawuit is in order maam haha
I'm going out on a limb here and say from now on:
Don't speed!
Keep up with your registration!
And.
Display your license properly!
As far as where you are now just sit back and hold on.
What you're going through is a result of not doing the three things I listed above.
If you feel you are innocent and you're looking to place blame elsewhere than there are legal avenues for you to pursue. Like I said sit back and hold on!
Keep in mind though that some people speed and some don't, some get caught, some don't.
The choice is yours!
I try to make a conscious effort to kep up with these things because I know if I don't.
I'll have to go through what you are going through now.

What should i do if a robber comes into my house and i dont have a phone.?

What should i do and what are the consequences?

i had a court date on the 31 of july for having a expired tag and i did not show or call and i dont know what to do? i dont know if i have warrant or not. can i have another court date issued? if i do have a warrant and they arrest me how long would i be in jail for? about?
Answers:
Pay the fine
Your best option (other than consulting an attorney) would be to contact the clerk of court where you were supposed to show up and ask for a new hearing date.
You can also contact the prosecutor assigned to your case, which you can find out from the court.
i would call the courthouse clerk's office as well as write a personal letter to the judge.
Call the court and pay, they probably won't even say anything to you. You WILL get arrested until that point so I would stay home for the weekend. You aren't going to jail over something that stupid once you straighten it out, though. It shouldn't go on your record.
Go to the DMV.. make sure you have plenty of money.. you will have to pay the original fine, then a late fee.. and you'll have to pay a fee to have the bench warrant removed. Better to go to them and take care of it, because if you get pulled over for something else, the warrant will show up and they will take you to jail no matter what you do or say.
I'm not sure if you'll have a warrant out for your arrest... I actually highly doubt that. But I think if you don't show up for your court date, they suspend your license. I just got a ticket a couple days ago for speeding, and on my ticket it said that if I don't show up for my court date, my license is suspended. So I'm pretty sure that's what'll happen to you, too.
why do not just go and get a new tag than go to the clerk of court show him/her the new tag and pay your fine and any other tacked on court charges.
At your earliest convenience (Monday morning!) go to the clerk of court to request another court date. You will probably have to pay a contempt of court fee for not showing up on the original date.
And yes, there is probably a warrant for your arrest posted. That is a usual when citizen ignore court dates.

If you are stopped and your name is run you will more than likely be brought in to appear before a judge. (What you were supposed to do all along.)

What should i do after high school if I'm not legal in this country?

Answers:
You could try joining the military to get citizenship or return to the country of your origin and try to return here legally. Find an "Immigration Lawyer" in the phone book and seek legal advice before you decide. Good luck.
Leave
you can try applying for college thats if you can afford to go.
i know some one who went to high school and then got into college on full scholarship. oh yea he's still illegal
You're an illegal, yet taking advantage of the public school system to get a free education... I agree with the first answer - leave.
Go Home!
get out.. move back legally
Why would ask such a loaded question when you know that some people are going to tell you to go to your birth country
Hopefully get deported.
You should first of all, not write that you are illegal on the internet, are you stupid? Secondly, why don't you try and apply for citizenship? That would be the smart thing to do. If not, than go home.
Work on your citizenship. By the time you take the test you'll literally know more about the US and it rules and regulations them the majority of people who were born here and took it for granted all their lives. Truthfully the vast majority could never pass it.
You have several choices
* You can post this question under government / immigration
** There are people there who are better qualified to give you advice
* You can try to get legal in the country.
** This can be expensive %26 big hassle, but worth it in long run
* You can try to travel to another country where you are legal
** Depending on how long you have been here, it can be difficult for you to fit in back there
* You can continue to function as an illegal, until you get caught
** Disadvantage is that you are severely limited in how you can live your life
Return home.
Get out of the country. You are a criminal who just stole a great deal of taxpayers money going to a school you were not entitled to attend.
get a visa in the U.S. but if they deny you, move to Canada and get your citizenship there. that's what my aunt and uncle did after being in the U.S. illegally for 3 years.
Apply for Citizenship, Get a Green Card, or go home..
Fair enough?
either become legal or go home. no offense meant but hey, unless you can pay for your own college tuition I believe that government money should go to our legal citizens. And as for just getting a job, hey we have enough ppl in this country that do don't have an education we don't need anymore hanging around that are not even a citizen or legal alien.
You know what?? These people who left these horrible answers about leaving are just WRONG! Have any of you ever read THE UGLY AMERICAN?? I understand that it is hard to get to this country...my parents are immigrants. I think you should contact a lawyer...there are special ones for people in your situation. Just look in the yellow pages, or look online. They will help you apply for citizenship.whether you are here for pleasure, a refugee, victim of relgious prejudice.a lawyer will be able to help you. And a lot of them do it for free, because they believe in fighting for people who are immigration victims. Good luck to you! And remember to fight for your rights.you HUMAN RIGHTS...to live anywhere that makes you happy.
